• Polis is a refereed journal and submissions are sent to two referees for reports.

• Manuscripts should be submitted electronically, formatted in accordance to our house style at the time of submission.

• A 150-word abstract should accompany each submission. (For more details see Style Sheet.)

Guidance for Reviewers

• Most book reviews are invited.  But colleagues wishing to write a review should contact Thornton Lockwood, Boston University, 685 Commonwealth Ave., Suite 119, Boston, MA 02215 (tlock@bu.edu).

• The average review is 1500-2000 words. Longer reviews (up to 5000) will appear as Review Articles, but this should be first discussed with the Editor or the Book Reviews Editor.

• A book review should be received within four (4) months. 

• Please send your review as an attached MS Word document or Plain Text document.
