PitStop is the flagship printing industry program for pre-flighting pdf files for compatibility issues. The new Enfocus product, PitStop Connect, has been widely featured in the trade press.

The Connector (an ia icon on your desktop, like the one on the left) is pre-configured for our presses, so just click to open and then drag and drop your pdfs into the Connector – PitStop will pre-flight the files and upload them automatically to our ftp server. If there are errors in the files, PitStop will attempt to fix them, and report back to you. If there are errors that PitStop can't fix it will give you the option of either fixing them yourself or signing them off as acceptable – type in that it's OK to proceed to proof, and your name before clicking the sign off button – then (once the icon has changed from red to green) click the send button to upload to our server.* It's as easy as that – no passwords or technical specifications to remember – just drag and drop. PitStop Pro normally retails at £545 (and then you have to configure it), but the download from our website is legal, free and pre-configured! All files should be pre-flighted before printing, so we would ask all of our customers to use this way of submitting copy.

The new (October 2010) release of Pitstop Connect has a considerably improved user interface – all previous users are advised to install the new Connector. Queries to info@imprintdigital.net. In the event of difficulties our YouSendIt drop-box is also available for file uploads.

*If your file opens in Acrobat viewer after clicking the sign off button then the file has not been sent. The cause is that you have not typed in a comment and your name before clicking the button.

Windows: Enfocus are in the process of obtaining a digital signature validation from Microsoft. In the meantime please be assured that the software is safe to download and install as Enfocus PitStop is the leading product in the field, used by print professionals all over the world.
