Elaine Smith (1945-1997)
was a dedicated activist for an improved and sustainable
human life on this planet. Despite prolonged illness she
continued to work for her ideals. She was director of the
Evolution Information Project and initiator of the
Spirituality SIG in ISSS (see p. 53 in this journal).
